Will Eichler with spot meterGreetings! Welcome to my website. I'm Will Eichler, a Steadicam and Camera Operator. I work as a local in Detroit, MI and Los Angeles, CA. I'm also happy to travel to any place your shoot is taking place. This site is dedicated to introducing you to me and the work I do. As a camera operator, my goal is to emphasize the story that your project is telling, not the shot I'm executing.

Inside this site you will find out about my background and previous work. Though you'll learn more about each camera specialty separately, here's the big picture. I got interested in film while at college at Michigan State University. I began working for a local video company that owned a Steadicam. I quickly took interest in the tool and began working with it on small projects and independant films. Since my degree in college was in Political Theory, I quickly realized that I needed to better understand the process of shooting film and video. To achieve that, I entered the working world as a camera assistant when I went freelance from my first employeer in 1998. I continued to operate and even shoot smaller projects while learning the ropes.

There are demo reels in each of the main three pages: Steadicam, Camera and Aerial Photography. You'll also have a chance to look a little deeper into projects I've worked on.

If you need to get to a resume to review in a quicker manner, please go directly to the Resume Page, which will give you a quick glance of the work that I've done. Also, you could look at my IMDB page which I have kept up to date.

A person can't survive in this industry alone. It takes the community of storytellers together to create these programs. Some of my good friend and trusted vendors can be found on the Links page.

I hope you enjoy the site and find it helpful. If you'd like to talk further about your project, please follow the Contact Me link. I look forward to discussing your project with you!

A quick note about the site - due to the video footage, I recommend you view this site from DSL, cable or other high speed internet connection.
